The lift truck usage all over the world has grown in insurmountable measures in regards to the manufacturing and warehousing businesses. A lift truck is a motorized industrial truck used for raising and moving things. The machinery has slowly changed and nowadays there are numerous modern designs for transporting and lifting objects. Over the last decades, the equipment has really grown and the designs have evolved so there are a variety of trucks and a lot of modern designs to meet every particular application. Loads are capable of reaching and lifting to greater heights than ever before.

The lift truck is available in a huge variety of power types such as gas powered, diesel, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP models. The load capacities of these units range greatly because there are numerous manufacturers that design and build them. Like for instance, some models could reach a height of more than 3000 mm or over 10,000 kg.

The frame of the truck is the base of the power source and is the site where the other features are connected. These numerous features comprise an overhead guard, mast and axles, and the counterweight. On the rear side there is a counterweight attached to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the cargo which is being lifted in order to keep the machine stable.

The machines movements are dictated by the operator who sits in the cab. The overhead feature likely consists of a metal roof designed to protect the operator from falling objects. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the mast and the frame. These tilts turn the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly which lifts and lowers the cargo with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are many warehouses or businesses in the manufacturing fields which use lift trucks for lifting and transportation every day. Today, there are a lot of different new and used lift trucks available in the market at competitive prices. Those who depend on occasional lifting and transportation could utilize rental forklifts as they are also available.
